Dreamwalking
Every child needs to know this one thing, if you can dream it you can do it.

Authors note:
Dreamwalking was inspired the story of Mark Shuttleworth, who aspired to be the first African to travel in space. This book pays tribute to him and the many inspirational dreamers of our beautiful country like Nelson Mandela, Miriam Makeba and Oscar Pistorious. It is my hope that all who read this book will be inspired to follow their dreams.

"Dreams are like birds and birds must fly, their wings were made to soar the sky.
And dreams ignored or shut away, soon wither and fade in the light of day".

"But dreamers are blessed with their own special star, that guides them to places, both near and far.

Bettina ('Tina') Schouw's book, "Dreamwalking", will be finding its way into the Christmas stockings of every South African child I know, especially those who live abroad. This is a truly magical children's (and adult's) story book … no more Hansel and Gretel for us, the heroes here have names like Miriam Makeba and Mark Shuttleworth, and stories we identify with. Magnificent rhythm and rhyme that brought to mind reading Green Eggs and Ham (as an adult).

(excerpt from an article in the Weekend Argus on the Cape Town Bookfair June 2008).

During the Bookfair singer Bettina Schouw and illustrator Adam Carnegie launched their book "Dreamwalking". It's a beautiful book and shows how good South Africans are at writing and illustrating.
